There are several options for connecting to City resources when not at your workstation which I’ve listed below. Please note that hourly employees should only be using these options for personal reasons (sharing a personal file, or HR self-service for your payroll info) and not for performing work-related tasks off the clock – you should discuss with your supervisor if you are unsure.
Office 365 Portal:https://portal.office.com • Use this site to access all things related to your Office 365 account. You can use it install Office on home/personal device (uses 1 of your 5 licenses), revoke a license (to free up one of the 5), manage your OneDrive, or even as a quick way to use the online version of various office applications (word, excel, etc.).
Login:
first.last@okc.gov Pass:This uses your city password but can sometimes take a little bit to update after you’ve changed it.
Global Protect Web Log-In:
https://gpweb.okc.gov • Here you can access most things you’ll need remotely except for the Office 365 Portal stuff. For example you can open Peoplesoft, your email, or even remote in to your work PC.
Login:
first.last(no @okc.gov)
Pass:The initial login wants your pass
code, it can be confusing – especially when you remote in because you have to login a total of four times. But it only wants your passcode for the initial login and when you’re at your desktop login screen (so the 4 total logins are passcode, password, password, passcode – yes it’s ridiculous)
• There is an alternate version of this for City laptops only called GPRemote that lets you connect the laptop (Surfaces count) directly to the network. It has some limitations like nVision won’t work and our databases usually have too much data for your external internet to handle easily, but it’s handy.
Peoplesoft External Website: -HR:
https://okcpeople.okc.gov -Financials:
https://okcpeople1.okc.gov • Though you can get here through the gpweb.okc.gov site as well, this doesn’t require your defender passcode and isn’t bad to use on your phone. It’s useful for checking your HR payroll information or if you need to check something in financials – for example I often use it to check the process monitor when our month-end close journals are taking forever.
Login:
first.last@okc.gov Pass:your city password
• Note that you might get a warning message about an invalid certificate or website impersonation. You can bypass that error (click the more info or advanced option), it has to do with some outdated certificates that I’m not sure when IT will get resolved.
Email on your Phone:
Go to the app store and search for the “Microsoft Outlook”
app. Download the app.
Login with your credentials:
You will be prompted to enter a verification code that
is either texted to a mobile phone, via mobile application or via phone call.
Type in your two-factor authentication code: (Should be a 6-digit
code).
If you need to modify or setup two-factor authentication, please go to
https://aka.ms/MFASetup.
- Your options can either be a phone call where
you will receive a verification code that you can enter on the login screen, a
text message with a verification code, a phone call to your office phone, or be
notified via the Microsoft Authenticator mobile application that you can load
on your smartphone.
- To set-up the Authenticator App click the plus sign, then Work or School Account, and use your camera to scan the QR code sent to you via email.

When completed, click "Save". Two-factor authentication is now setup.
