User Settings: Local Intranet Trusted Zones
With the 2018 Windows 10 update there were some missing group policy settings that are necessary to avoid some annoying conflicts. Three intranet zones need to be added in order to avoid running in to issues caused by the missing settings.
Admin rights should are not required to set this. To add these settings, please do the following:
1) Open Internet Explorer and click on the Tools button - it looks like a cog wheel icon at the top right of the browser.
• You can also access this Menu by pressing Alt + X
2) Click on Internet Options in the drop-down.
• If you're having trouble with Steps 1 & 2 you can click the Start Button on your Task Bar and search for "Internet Options".
3) Click on the Security tab.
4) Click on the Local Intranet Zone and then the Sites button.
5) Make sure your check boxes match the image (all selected except the first). Then click on Advanced.
6) Type in each of the three sites as listed (be sure to include https:// if indicated) then click Add.
The sites to be added are:
○ \\ci.okc\ (this will reformat as file://*.ci.okc, which is okay)
○ https://okcpeople.okc.gov (Peoplesoft Human Resources)
○ https://okcpeople1.okc.gov (Peoplesoft Financials)

Some issues this should fix:
- Confirmation Pop-ups when opening short-cuts to network folder files
- Outlook repeated login pop-up related to sharepoint
- Peoplesoft Font Issues in Internet Explorer
- Printing/PDFing of Peoplesoft pages missing page styles
- Additional Intranet Sites may be necessary depending on division intranet sites (sites only accessible while on a City network connected PC).

This is how to automatically set the zones along with some other things.
Run the file below.
\\ci.okc\OKC\FI-ASD\SystemsAndReporting\Executables and it's the 'ASDRegistryEdits.reg' file.
This process will do the following - please note that Admin rights are required for this because of the NumLock step.
• Update the local intranet trusted zones.
• Make insideokc the users homepage.
• Fix the issue with NumLock being disabled after restart.
